Compete in a supermoto race

Number #8 off the list!

Dec 2011 at USJ Subang Jaya, Selangor. It was a long 8 hour journey from Singapore but totally worth it.

Upon reaching we quickly change and start to practice , the track was in superb condition with grippy tarmac and great weather. By the end of the session , i qualify 3rd and was so pumped to try get my first podium finish in the under 400cc category!

Once back in hotel everyone was planning how to spent the night. ‘Karoke uh!’ 'Massage uh’ 'go drink uh’ 'lets explore uh’  ..  .. .. it all changes as soon as i hit my bed. KO!

Next morning, Race day!

butterflies, hurricane, tornado, lightingmcqueen was all in tummy! crazy mix feeling of anxiety and excitement!  when the flag goes down, throttle at full and i manage to get a perfect holeshot of 1st turn! This part right here is the feeling i probably will never get to feel again, ; leading a race with thumping engines sound right behind me chasing like dogs. Every turn was a crucial moment , right now all i can think of is to RUN!!!!!

After few laps, i lost my position and was in 3rd till Faiz aka Perilious came in and took that position of me. It was some nice racing sparing action with him. By the 8 lap i lost all energy and stamina but i tried my best to keep up with Faiz , still fighting for that 3rd position!

Then came Azim, my crash buddy. haha.. i was overlapping him and he just had to crash right infront of me leaving me no choice but to jam my front brake or i would had run over his head! And as a result my bike front flipped! and throw me into the safety tires. There goes my podium dreams and there goes the race. But Alhamdulilah thank god we both walk away with only abrasions.

In a split second, everything changes. The point of impact is to be remembered.
